Titans start year off taking 4th.

The Titan Wrestling team started out the year taking 4th place in the 25th Annual Grover Memorial Tournament at Concord this weekend. The Titans were led by Junior Connor Root and Freshman Jacob Boldt who both took first place. In his first varsity experience Freshman Jacob Boldt lead the way in the 103 lb. class with 4 pins in 4 matches. Junior Connor Root won the 125 lb. class going 3-0. Also in his first varsity experience Freshman Anthony DeLaRosa posted the fastest pin of the year so far at 18 seconds. Anthony finished 3rd at 103 going 3-1. Sophomore Shane Cooper took 2nd place at 145 going 3-1 on the day. Other medal winners included 3rd place Sophomore Jacob Lantis (4-1) at 135, 3rd place by Junior Joey Eckert at HWT going 4-1, and JJ Berkypile took 4th at 119 going 2-2.
This week the Titans take on Lansing Eastern and Owosso at Lansing Eastern. Then on Saturday head to Auburn Hills – Avondale for an invitational.
